Psion Announces Availability of PTX Connect 4.0
Latest release adds enhanced Push-To-Talk (PTT) functionality and support for new Psion G2 terminals

Mississauga, ON, Canada – Psion (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, imaging and RFID, today announced the general availability of the latest version of its enterprise communication software platform, PTX Connect™ which provides mobile workers with instant communication capability using VoIP technology, providing Push-to-Talk (PTT) capability, instant-messaging and email over a hand held or vehicle mount computer.

- Seamless operation between both Windows® CE and Windows Mobile devices
- Support over WWAN and WLAN networks
- Client configuration and server enhancements
- PTX Connect 4.0 is now available on wide range of devices, including the 8515 Vehicle Mount Computer, WORKABOUT PRO® G2 handheld computer, Ikôn™ Rugged PDA and NEO™, the newly released next-generation lightweight, pocket-sized handheld computer from Psion.
