CINCINNATI, OH, U.S.A – Psion Inc. (LSE: PON.L), a global provider of mobile computing solutions, today announced that United States Cold Storage (USCS), one of the leading public refrigerated warehousing (PRW) companies in the USA, has begun a nationwide implementation of new Psion ’ ruggedized mobile devices in over 30 sites as a continuing effort to improve productivity and efficiency throughout the warehouse.
United States Cold Storage first implemented radio frequency equipment from Psion in 1997. Currently, the company has over 1,000 ruggedized mobile devices deployed, ranging from handhelds to vehicle mounted computers, helping to keep the supply chain moving with maximum efficiency. The devices are in the field from receiving to picking and stacking to shipping, and are tasked with managing inventory and orders wirelessly in real-time.
