New Zealand’s Largest Courier Equips National Fleet with Psion Teklogix Mobile Computing Solution

Mississauga, ON, Canada – Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global provider of solutions for mobile computing, wireless data collection, imaging and RFID, announced today that CourierPost, a division of Express Couriers Limited, New Zealand’s largest courier services provider, has implemented a new mobile computing solution throughout its national fleet. The Psion Teklogix solution provides CourierPost with enhanced features and customization capabilities integral to improving overall customer service.
CourierPost, New Zealand’s largest courier business, chose Psion Teklogix' WORKABOUT PRO, after a three month rigorous testing process of several mobile computing solutions, because of its flexibility, ruggedness and superior battery management. The “do-it-yourself upgradeability” of the WORKABOUT PRO enables Express Couriers to tailor the devices to meet the various needs of its different courier operations by strengthening their real time scanning and messaging capabilities.

CourierPost also selected Psion Teklogix’ Mobile Control Center (MCC) software tool to manage the software on the WORKABOUT PRO. The new device management software product enables IT administrators to centrally manage all mobile devices in the field. The new solution has now been implemented by all three courier divisions of Express Couriers Ltd including CourierPost, Pace and Contract Logistics.

In addition, the WORKABOUT PRO has an IP54 rating and withstands 26 drops from four feet onto concrete.
